Elements Replace Color works.
Left: A mask is very much like a conventional stencil.
Centre: Imagine that the new colour is applied to the artwork from
above,
through the mask, just as paint is applied to paper through a stencil.
Right: The resulting affected area. The lighter the area of the mask,
the more the new colour is applied through it.
